Commercial Real Estate Appraisers/Senior Analysts

Overview

Teamwork is the key to our achievements at Boxwood. Our senior team of commercial real estate appraisers and senior analysts are core to what we do: Producing our best-in-class FieldSmart Evaluations and FieldSmart Restricted Appraisals for 300 banks, credit unions and nonbank lenders nationwide.

As a result of strong business growth, we have immediate openings for additional commercial appraisers and senior analysts working either full- or part-time on desktop-based valuation assignments involving small commercial and multifamily properties throughout the country. These are REMOTE positions – which is commonplace for us since the Boxwood team has conducted work from home since the firm’s inception in 2003.

Responsibilities

Come join our team. Our appraisers have access to must-have CRE data and analytics, and rely on a tech-intensive platform and internal software to manage and complete their assignments.

  • Manage an assigned workload of desktop valuations and FieldSmart reports on small commercial and multifamily properties nationwide.

  • Employ third-party data and analytical software to select and analyze comparables and develop valuation conclusions following either the Sales or Sales and Income approaches.

  • Participate in the upfront vetting process for incoming valuation assignments.

  • Coordinate with other Boxwood staff responsible for collateral research.

  • Review property inspection reports produced by Boxwood’s field services vendor.

  • Respond promptly and courteously to client inquiries about your reports; communicate effectively with Boxwood’s team and senior management in a time-sensitive environment.

Qualifications and Requirements:
  • 10+ years of direct experience directly performing or reviewing commercial evaluations or commercial real estate appraisals.

  • Working knowledge of CoStar Analytics software.

  • Able to multi-task and complete orders under tight deadlines while maintaining attention to detail and a professional demeanor.

  • Proficient in MS Office programs; comfortable using web-based technology and software.

  • Build and maintain effective working relationships with various internal and external parties.

Senior Sales Account Manager

Our tech-enabled platform supports 300 commercial banks, credit unions, and nonbank lender clients with online procurement, order tracking, and delivery of Boxwood’s best-in-class FieldSmart Evaluations, FieldSmart Restricted Appraisals, as well as Property Inspections and Environmental Inspections.

Product innovation is part of the firm’s DNA and a continual driver of the firm’s sales and business growth in a product market of roughly 7,500 financial institutions alone. Considering our firm’s current and potential future growth, we have an immediate opening for a senior sales account manager to join our team.

This is a REMOTE position that is consistent with Boxwood’s work-from-home philosophy for all staff since the firm’s inception in 2003.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with our close-knit crew of production, client support, and marketing staff and leverage your commercial real estate sales experience in the development of new business among our target institutional market.   • Master your knowledge of Boxwood’s report products, markets, and the industry at large.

  • Prospect for business via outbound phone and email communications.

  • Own, manage, and drive the full sales cycle with a focus on new business with commercial banks and credit unions.

  • Build a robust sales pipeline and meet sales quota.

  • Fully utilize the functions and capabilities of our CRM software.

Qualifications and Requirements:

You will have strong client development instincts and a determination to succeed.

  • A minimum of five years of commercial real estate-related sales experience with a heavy reliance on outbound prospecting and account management.

  • Background in, or familiarity with commercial mortgage lending, credit, and/or property appraisal functions.

  • Strategic thinker with knowledge of, and respect for diverse client organizations, staffing hierarchies, and traditional decision-making protocols.

  • Superior internal and external communication skills.

  • Must be detail-oriented, focused, entrepreneurial

  • Bachelor’s degree.
